Tall Trees Art Inc, known for presenting the large scale Tall Trees Art Exhibition, is going lower key in 2026 with a weekend of art, food and music at Traveston Hall in the last weekend of July.
Tall Trees President, Wendy Birrell, says rather than holding the major exhibition, this year the association is focussing on planning, development and new creative opportunities.

In 2026, there will be a range of smaller events and workshops, a highlight being Tall Trees’ participation in Gympie Region Studio Trails this winter.
On the last weekend of July, visitors to Traveston Hall can view the work in progress of several Tall Trees artists in studio like settings, inside and outside the hall from 10am to 4pm. Artworks will also be for sale.

The Cart cafe from Cooran will offer coffee on Saturday morning, Cooran Community Garden members will offer morning teas of homemade cakes and scones and a produce stall and Traveston Hall Committee is running a sausage sizzle. The hall tennis court has been booked for a free game of tennis and there will be live music both days.
Ms Birrell said the weekend was a chance for visitors of all ages to meet talented artists, see a variety of creative artwork and perhaps find one to take home.
‘Bring a picnic blanket, family and friends, a tennis racquet and stay for a while,’ she said.
