Gympie abuzz as A Bee Story comes to town

Vivienne Wynter

Gympie families and theatre lovers are invited to enjoy a special performance of A Bee Story and circus workshops for children and young people hosted by Gympie Regional Council.

Created by the ARC, Circus, Dance and Theatre Company, A Bee Story is an all-ages physical theatre show about a Queen Bee and Worker Bee who must rebuild their hive after it was destroyed by a bushfire.

While the show is about the impact of bushfires on the environment, it takes a light-hearted and funny look at this serious topic with a blend of circus, acrobatics, dance and live music celebrating teamwork and nature.

A Bee Story was created by performer Robbie Curtis (Cirque du Soleil, Circa, Australian Ballet) and musician Lizzie McRae and has been enjoyed by audiences around the world, including at the Edinburgh Festival.
