Gympie’s Space Girls Festival has announced two nights of bold and diverse music events for Pride.
Pride Month celebrates the LGBTIQA+ community’s contribution to Australian society and promotes diversity and inclusion across the country.
This year Space Girls Festival is holding two events focusing on female and gender-diverse performers:
OUTER SPACE II: 3-7 pm Thursday 26 June at Headspace Gympie
INNER SPACE: 7-11 pm Friday 27 June at Gympie Music Hall
The all-ages live music event OUTER SPACE II headlines with Worm Girlz supported by Georgia Rose, Ella Joy and Jemzel.

Babyshakes Dillon, who grew up in Gympie, is headlining INNER SPACE in an exclusive solo show.
The Newcastle Herald described Dillon as being able to ‘…hypnotise an audience like a Chrissy Amphlett armed with an electric guitar’.

Support acts are local musicians Madison Levi and queer indie teen rockers Hugo and the Hive.
Both events are free for young people aged 13 to 25.
Tickets to the Outer Space event with Worm Girlz are $10. Tickets to the Inner Space event with Babyshakes Dillon are $20 Earlybird and $25.
Space Girls Festival Co-Director, Cindy Vogels said the back-to-back events celebrated the festival’s mission to amplify under-represented voices and provide opportunities for creative youth to shine, connect and be inspired.
‘INNER SPACE offers a softer, soul-nourishing complement to the high-energy vibe of OUTER SPACE.’
Ms Vogels said Space Girls 2025 had strong support from local backers.
‘This event would not be possible without the powerhouse support of my Co-Director Nicole Harper, our passionate audiences and our generous supporters: headspace Gympie, Pride Foundation Australia, Bendigo Bank and the Regional Arts Development Fund.’
‘We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Two nights. Two distinct vibes. One powerful message: It’s time to take up more space girls!’
